CONCEPT INSOMNIA IS A GERMAN PROGRESSIVE/MELODIC/DEATH METAL BAND FROM FRANKFURT, GERMANY. FOUNDED IN 2005, THE BAND HAS PRODUCED TWO ALBUMS AND ONE EP SO FAR. SOME VERY STUPID JOURNALISTS FOUND INFLUENCES FROM OTHER, VERY SMALL AND UNKNOWN BANDS LIKE MERCENARY, SOILWORK OR IN FLAMES.

They‘re back! CONCEPT INSOMNIA will serve you again with some sleepless Metal Nights in 2021. After the release of their 2nd album KALEIDOSCOPE in 2013, the band decided to focus on some job- and private duties just to come back stronger, harder and fresher than ever! 

The new EP IDENTIDIED will be released on May 01st 2021 and delivers anything that CONCEPT INSOMNIA stands for. Songs like “GRAVITY” or “MY SQUARED HOURGLASS” continue the bands process on their unique sounding Melodic Death Metal path somewhere between In Flames, Mercenary and Soilwork – always with one and a half feet down “to the Metal” without losing the right mixture between melodies and brutal Guitar attacks in your face. 

IDENTIDIED is a logical development after being already 15 years in business and experiencing many highlights: Live Performances at Wacken Festival 2008, Shows in Romania 2010, several Support-Slots for legendary Bands (e.g GOJIRA (FR) and SWITCHTENSE (PT), 2 successful albums released in Europe and North America and countless, awesome international press feedbacks. 

That all proofs: CONCEPT INSOMNIA is not a mayfly or one more lost hope of the German Metal offspring – they are still strengthening their status as one of the most outstanding Underground Metal bands out of Germany. And the four dudes from Frankfurt delivers what their fans expect: A breathtaking, refreshing ride through various Metal Genres and energetic Live Shows.
